Titel

We are a wealth manager with a long-standing tradition. Our actions are underpinned by independent analysis and the endeavour to meet the promises we make to our clients. The credibility we enjoy is based on the transparency, fairness and passion we demonstrate in managing the wealth of our private and institutional clients: and has been for more than 20 years.

Erfolgsformel

The actions we take are shaped by our own principles. Our recipe for success is characterised by five key aspects:

All investment opportunities

Excellent, individual
client portfolio

Investment philosophy

1

Systematic application of independent investment principles.

1 Investment philosophy

Systematic application of independent investment principles.

We invest exclusively in quality companies and issuers. Sound financing, strong management and a leading market position are the prerequisites for our investments. Combined with a long-term investment horizon and an attractive market valuation, these qualities provide a promising basis for success.

Macroanalysis

2

Ongoing analysis of the economic environment and identification of relevant criteria for the tactical asset allocation.

More Information

2 Macroanalysis

Ongoing analysis of the economic environment and identification of relevant criteria for the tactical asset allocation.

The meetings of our Investment Policy Committee focus on fundamental issues such as stock exposure, sector weighting, duration selection (average weighting of terms), currency allocation and the determination of our holdings in other asset classes (gold and real estate). These various aspects are evaluated and discussed on the basis of macroeconomic data.

Securities selection

3

Constant review and adjustment of our investment universe.

3 Securities selection

Constant review and adjustment of our investment universe.

Addition of new securities or the sale of existing holdings? The responsible sector specialists draw up thorough recommendations based on intensive analyses and in-house valuation models. Within the Investment Policy Committee, the recommendations are subjected to a democratic decision-making process.

Implementation in client portfolios

4

Uniform management of client portfolios in accordance with defined specifications.

4 Implementation in client portfolios

Uniform management of client portfolios in accordance with defined specifications.

Uniform management by our portfolio managers and the centralised execution of transactions guarantee timely implementation. The implementation of investment decisions is also checked by our internal Risk Management and Compliance department.

Commitment to our clients

5

Every client is unique.

More Information

5 Commitment to our clients

Every client is unique.

For this reason, each and every client deserves our full commitment to providing support that is tailored to their needs. This is the principle that guides our actions. And this is our goal: the generation of added value for our clients with a performance-based fee model and internal incentive schemes – providing the basis for long-term cooperation.

Grundsätze

A holistic view of quantitative and qualitative criteria: this is our strength. We have developed our own models for the analysis of quantitative criteria.

We are no ordinary market player: our actions are shaped by a more thorough and active approach.

We are no ordinary market player: our actions are shaped by a more thorough and active approach.

We are an active investor, place our trust in experience spanning several decades and conduct our own intensive and in-depth financial analyses on an ongoing basis. Standard market analysis and discount models are not enough for us.

Back

For more than 20 years, advancements in our analysis model have supported our stock selection process.

For more than 20 years, advancements in our analysis model have supported our stock selection process.

Meticulous evaluation of company performance and earnings quality (consistency of business results) relative to the market average: this is where our focus lies. We conduct active primary and secondary research with a clearly defined objective: we want to evaluate world-class companies with a market-leading position, sound financing, a secure income stream and a business model that is as predictable as possible.

Back

Our trend forecast model is based on our own criteria.

Our trend forecast model is based on our own criteria.

Changes in interest rates are generally viewed as a driving force on the bond market. Reliable forecasts for future interest rate developments are therefore a critical success factor. We have identified the relevant economic indicators for producing such forecasts.

Back

We identify high-quality issuers. With certainty.

We identify high-quality issuers. With certainty.

We invest exclusively in the bonds of issuers deemed to be investment grade according to our in-house rating system (“BBB-” or better). Here, we put our faith in our objective, standardised and continual credit assessments – in addition to the interest forecast.

Back

Adopting a short-term approach does not represent a strategy.

Adopting a short-term approach does not represent a strategy.

What shape will the economic cycle take? This is difficult to forecast!

Our analysis therefore focusses on the identification of structural economic developments and the potential they offer. In the area of foreign currencies, we base our activities on our own currency model and take on targeted exposures to foreign-currency bonds only in cases where there is an undervaluation relative to the reference currency.

Performance

We have a long-term investment horizon. We exclusively invest in well managed and financially sound companies and issuers. The result for our clients: additional returns without heightened risk.

Portrait

Albin Kistler is one of Switzerland’s leading wealth managers. For more than 20 years, it has dedicated itself to supporting private and institutional clients. In addition to its Zurich headquarters, the wealth manager also has a representative office in Chur.

History

The company's history dates back to 1982 with the foundation of the wealth management company André Kistler Vermögensberatung. It was 1995 which saw the dawn of the second stage in the company's history. It was during this year that Norbert Albin and André Kistler together founded Albin, Kistler, Partner AG. Now operating under the name Albin Kistler AG, the wealth management company opened its representative office in Chur in 2009. Since 2014, we have been licensed to act as an asset manager of collective investment schemes (CISA) and are subject to the supervision of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

The company has grown organically since its foundation and is today one of the leading wealth managers for private and institutional clients in Switzerland. During the course of its development, Albin Kistler has systematically expanded its analysis expertise and is now among the country's top research houses. The company’s assets under management total several billion Swiss francs.

Team

The make-up of our team is unique and forms the basis for our success: our analysts are responsible both for implementing our investment policy and looking after clients.
